The Hive attracts three new businesses to landmark downtown Kamloops office building
Kamloops, BC — A new construction milestone for THE HIVE, a joint venture project between local developers A&T Project Developments and Invictus Properties, has been reached with the steel frame of the building starting to emerge from the ground. With the two underground parking levels complete, interest in Kamloops’ first Class-A office building continues to grow and is on track to open in early 2022.
THE HIVE will be the first new commercial building in downtown Kamloops in 15 years. As the world continues to adapt to the ongoing pandemic, forward-looking companies are beginning to finalize workplace plans as normalcy returns. THE HIVE is pleased to announce three new additions to the building: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT BANK OF CANADA, SMILE DENTISTRY and WILLIAM WRIGHT COMMERCIAL BROKERAGE.

Located on the third floor, the BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT BANK OF CANADA (BDC) has agreed to relocate its business centre to continue serving the Kamloops market. With a mission to help create and develop strong businesses in Kamloops, BDC continues to invest in the community and partner in growing the market.

SMILE DENTISTRY purchased the ground floor commercial unit in the southwest corner of the building, located directly off 5th Avenue to open their second location. As a long-standing and well-established Kamloops dental practice, Smile Dentistry will immediately become a new anchor for downtown Kamloops.
“We couldn’t be more excited to anchor THE HIVE with our new dental clinic. The design of the building and vision for the site matches well with our business. We can’t wait to start this new chapter when the building opens in February 2022,” says Dr. Michael Hansford.
Additionally, WILLIAM WRIGHT COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE SERVICES is purchasing a commercial unit on the 4th floor of the building. This is their first office in the Kamloops community and seventh in the province of BC.
